Hi – I’m Tracy and I’m the Urban Bookworm! 🙂

Growing up as an only child in the 1980s, I have always been an avid reader. I love books of all different genres, but in particular psychological thrillers, memoirs, so-called ‘women’s fiction’, crime fiction, comedy, self-improvement, anything involving history or science, non-fiction of all kinds of subjects and of course, a good old yarn!

I am lucky enough to be a ‘top’ reviewer for Netgalley and also review for The Pigeonhole and BookSirens, and so often have early access to up and coming releases from publishers such as Harper Collins, Michael Joseph, Bookouture and Penguin to name a few, as well as independents, and of course, smaller publishers.

I regularly review books on Goodreads, Facebook, Amazon amongst others, & am often asked to recommend ‘a good book’ to friends and colleagues  – so I decided to put all my reviews in one place and Urban Bookworm was born!

I always give honest reviews and try to make any criticism I have constructive. You won’t find many ‘bad’ reviews here because reading is very subjective, so if I don’t like a book, it doesn’t mean nobody else will. However to help you decide if it might be for you I will explain my reasons for a low rating.
