This is going to be a pretty short review. I spent the first third of this book thinking ‘WHAT? Why are there so many inconsistencies? Is the author just not very good at paying attention to detail?”
Then it started to annoy me and I felt like giving up. But something kept me reading.
Although it felt a little ‘ploddy’ in the middle, an awful lot happened, and everything got even more confusing. More inaccuracies and things just not feeling quite ‘right’.
Then we get to the last part of the book and…well, I don’t know what to say except, if you like things to be black and white, cut and dry, and obvious, then this might not be the right book for you. To be honest, I’ve finished it and I am still a little unsure on some points, my mind is having trouble catching up with my brain….
However, if you want to read a book that’s probably unlike anything you’ve read before, a fiendishly clever twist, some incredibly bad behaviour and don’t mind having no clue at all how it’s going to turn out…then I think you’ll love it!
I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for Naomi Joy in future!
Thanks to the Pigeonhole for another great read – this is my honest and unbiased review.
